I'm not computer illiterate, but I don't understand how to download the Tekmanoid software on Windows 11. I had to change to a new computer and eveything was lost, including my Scytale-C and UI software. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I don't have a full click-by-click solution - I'd rather filter and log STDC messages vs seeing a few blobs on a map and a meaningless firehose of messages, so I use satdump for all my STDC ground station setups - but, I can 110% recommend not using Tekmanoid anymore. I think for Windows, you should be able to get SDR# and its quick UI plugin going much quicker.
From what I can gather SDR# now includes the Scytale-C Quck UI viewer and so you can see the messages and the mini map just by 1 click.
Last time I tried Tekmanoid it failed to decode more messages than the few it did.
(I get that satdump is not for everyone, but it's the only one that actually outputs the messages via UDP vs all the other STDC decoders that only log to local disk).
Good luck.

I have not looked to deep, but it seems this is the only sofrware available for Windows.

The other things on the page seem to be projects you build from scratch.

Where are you getting hung-up?
Here is the current state of Linux / Windows STDC as I know it and as listed on my STDC decoder page:
satdump. (Free) Linux or Windows. Low CPU use with CLI option.
InmarsatDecoder (~$50USD) Windows.
Teckmanoid (~$50USD) Crossplatform (Java required)
Scytale-C (Free) Crossplatform with some work.
SDR++ STD-C demodulator plug-in and QT Inmarsat-C Parser. (Free). (Crossplatform?)
stdcdec Command line. Linux. (Free)

It might be a stupid question, but where is the Tekmanoid software? I have the Azul Zulu software loaded, just can't find the Tek Software

I have never heard of SatDump. I'm looking at it now. Thank you very much for this

As per the link that dickie757 sent....
Here is what I see....

v1.5.6.3 (built 13th Oct 2024)
Provided strictly for private hobby use. No demo available.

For information on price / payment method etc contact me on:
admin @ tekmanoid.com

------------------------------
Drop him an email and he will let you know of payment etc.
Its how I evulated the software for my needs, I had to buy it, found out it was no good and thus lost money.
But keep in mind satdump does not have the little minimap that lots of folks like.

Does satdump work with sdrplay and its software?

No.
It connects directly to the SDR and does the decoding.
It does not use VAC (virtual audio cables) like other decoding software.

Am I to understand that you output satdump messages to another application/website ? If so for what purpose ?

I am primarily focused on ACARS (aircraft), but a bunch of folks who use my site have encouraged me to add a global STDC feed/page.
So, about 5-6 years back I did.
I keep 7 days of ACARS, but I keep 1 month of STDC messages. You can search them as well as see them come in live.
I know some folks only like to set up the system and see the same messages on their computers, but a lot more folks really apricate that they can visit my site and see global messages without having to setup an antenna, SDR and software. And even then, they are only going to get the messages from the Inmarsat they are 'under'.
So, the reason (purpose) I do it is the same as the global ACARS, to help people enjoy the hobby.... Also, as was often pitched to me, where the ships are often where the aircraft go.
No idea how, but STDC always gets the North Korea rocket launch alerts before the oceanic ACARS, so there is that as well...

Thanks for the clarifications. I remember visiting your site a couple of times You did a very good job. I do have the scytale-c and Tekmanoid installed but I have been using tekmanoid for a couple of weeks now. I see from one of your post that you are not a fan of tekmanoid’s software. Assuming UDP output is not necessary for me, are there other reasons you would still recommend satdump over scytale-c and tekmanoid ?

Consistency in decoding.
Better decoding in low signal applications.
Command line option (very very low CPU use).
Cross-platform.
Affordable (free).

Thanks again. If I recall it won’t work with an RSPDuo right ?

No idea. I've found the RSP SDRs to be pretty average in performance. I do my best never to use them or recommend them after far too many failures.
Their software is appalling and mostly unusable, which does not help things.
For something as narrowband and super simple as STDC, the RTLSDR v3 is very hard to beat for price and performance.

I'm a bit surprised to hear that. I got my RSPDuo at the start of the pandemic and it never failed. I use it for SDT-C and ACARS and it works well but i don't have anything to compare it to. Their software surely need some time to get used to. I also have the HF+ Discovery that i use with SDR# and i am not impressed by neither. At any rate i'll see what i can do with satdump.

My use case is not typical.... I have 82 stations scattered around the globe that run 24x7x365. Anything that fails a few times bubbles to the top pretty quickly.
Given the cost to build this-sized system, I need reliable and affordable (in that order), and RSP doesn't check either box.
The other non-typical use case aspect is that all 82 stations run headless (for the most part - Jaero is the one exception, and even then, there are headless options), so their crummy software has zero learning curve, as you never look at it. We only use their horrible API.

I have some hints and tips for setting up satdump on my STDC GitHub page.

I get it, my use case is definitely different than yours. I've just started playing with satdump. That software is a lot of things but easy to use is not one of them so far. I'll have to go thru the documentation.
