Unication Pager - Software

Hi all

I have two Unication POCSAG "E5" pagers and a Program dock however I cannot get them
to communicate with any versions of the software.

All I get is ""Please update your PPS software" [Wrong PPS]"

I have tried all versions E5 PPS software that I can download on a Windows 10
and Windows 7 based systems with no change.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Did you reach out to Inication and ask about newer software ? Sounds like it was programmed with newer than you have.

Unfortunately I have not had much luck with Unication in the USA being I am based in Australia

Looks like the corporate HQ is in Taiwan, I would try that.

Good news, there is PPS software that was made past Windows 98 for various devices and continues to exist today since POCSAG ain't dead. The E5 software worked on Vista even!

Unfortunately I have not had much luck with Unication in the USA being I am based in Australia

Unication doesn't really deal directly with customers. They want everything to go through dealers. Try getting in touch with Ray's Pager Sales or East Coast Pagers, they're both extremely helpful and experts on Unications. They may have the software since it was originally on a CD when shipped many years ago.

Hi all

In the last few days I had a small win, it so seems there some crucial information
in the PPS Software manual that has been a great help

Information
Only the correct version of programming software that matches the pager
firmware version is able to use for programming the pager.
The new programming software and programming manual will be released on
the Unication official website: www. unication.com

After some diging about I was able to obtain PPS Software 1.5.5Beta from 2017
and this has been successful in programming the Pager, that said I am now having
a learning curve with the software itself.

However I still have on other pager that I still need to find the correct PPS edition for,
at this stage I have updated the Unication Dealer and I am awaiting to hear back from
them

Hi!

The E5 Pager was designed for the german government. They have separate softwares for clear or encrypted paging. Last version was 1.5.8
