Download the zip file from here for Scytale-C: Bitbucket
satdump is a stand-alone, no need for VAC, that's the beauty of it. What is the use case where you want to pipe audio to something?

When I go there, there is only one file to download, which has a lot in it but I don't see any executable files for either program? if you watch any of the online videos, thou they are a few years old now, it shows them but go into that location now, you see a lot of files under that one downloadable file and there are no .exe files for the program under either folder? or am I missing something here?

Someone here said that had the working program of Scytale-C program and the UI part of it. Can someone send these to me? should be the .exe of the programs. The Bitbucket link, when you go to it does not have the executable programs of each one, along with the plugin for SDRSharp+. These are not in that one download under Scytale in BitBucket. I have the other 2 programs now, still working on them getting them running correctly. But want to get the Executable versions of Scytale-C and the UI to go with it.

Watch the older youtube videos and back then, when you went to this folder, it listed all of them and you could download what you want, don't see that now? can someone confirm this for me? keep getting told to go there but not finding what we expect. Someone must have the exe of each of these already. thx

Hi folks, so I've been enjoying checking out the various data channels. So far I have gotten the ship data on some freq's and the AERO ones for the plane stuff. The shipping data is interesting to see and read. Since my mind is not as sharp as it use to be, just want to ask a question and help me sort this out a little bit. Attached is a screen shot of one area I monitor, would like to know what I am seeing and what there is in these to check out. Also, of the 3 programs I have, so I know which ones will give what results, data type, etc. I have the Scytale-C, the Tekmanoid std-c decoder and the Jaero program. Which one decodes what? I have a general idea, but which programs decode what, ex: this one only decodes this, but this one decodes this and this. I also have the SatDump but haven't had too much luck yet with that one and want too get this one running. Much appreciated, thank you

Scytale-C and Tekmanoid both ONLY decode STDC (shipping).
Jaero ONLY decodes ACARS (AERO).
Satdump decodes both. (and is better than all of the mentioned programs for either of the two modes on L-Band).

Details about all those programs are on this website here: Decoding ADSC, ADSB, ACARS, VDL2, Iridium, HF-DL and other aircraft type messages.
(STDC page for example has tips on getting Satdump up and running on that mode).

That image above, looking at the different types of signals, visually, can you tell which ones are which?
Thank you, that's what I needed. Will check out that other page about Satdump, nice program and want to get this one running.

These pdf's are a couple years old, but give you an idea of the frequencies

I watch this for a refresher
Hi there, good info and watched the video. I've been using SDR Console for my reception, and I have SDR Sharp and SDR++ but haven't been able to get the plugin to work or show up in the plugin option in SDR Sharp. Says to go to this plugin.xml file and add this line but I don't see that file in my SDRSharp folder at all. Also still trying to get Satdump running. Least the video gave me some ideas what signals were what. I have really, good strong signals to work with across the band. Thank you

You've great signals, what antenna?

Just looked at bitbucket, apparently he had to removed the compiled binaries..

Here is my scytaleC folder, has the quickUI & ScytaleC 1403 & 1408, you will need to change settings to what you want, I use sdr++, tcp instead of audio and use tcp option in scytaleC

Hey PDXh0b0, still working on the SDRSharp program and plugin, still haven't gotten it right, must be me. For programs, so far the Tekmanoid one is running great on my end here. Ya, on that last image I posted, I thought they were, and was ok with it, but invested in the Discovery Dish (RTL SDR Site) and OMG, I had to crank my RF Gain down a bit, had a very bright, colorful waterfall and was overloading my SDR. Here is my latest image, and this is on the USA West Coast Satellite now, solid lock on signal. Anyone looking at it, can you tell what signals are what? the one my marker is on is the NCS channel of AMER.

Correct, he did add links in the "Comit" folder and you can download from there which is what I did when I finally got a hold of him. Oh, and thanks for the folder you listed, will give it another try.

Definitely better signals than my blog patch antenna View attachment 192405View attachment 192406
Agreed, the first image up further in the thread was my patch antenna I got from them, thou I'm using the SDR Console program, were pretty good, then I read about the Discovery Dish, small and easy to assemble and was amazed on the signal strength it added, now screaming signals from both Sats and 100% locked in signal and no drop outs. I see this is the SDR Sharp ++, have you decoded with this program? assuming you have since you sent me the folder of stuff to try. Thanks

I use sdr++ to feed scytalec via tcp
