I have noticed the last couple days I havent been able to scan Lowndes County. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if they had changed something?

Could it be that they changed frequencies and are P-25 digital?? It appears that PD and FD are on the trunked system and have digital TG's.

Listen to the control frequency 15 MHz lower.

For example, if the control frequency was 866.1500, listen to 851.1500 etc.

I used to keep up with (and listen to) that TRS, but am now in Jacksonville most of the time.

Are you listening to just the control channel(s) or have you programmed all of the TRS frequencies in ???

If you program the primary and secondary control channels as FM and hold on them, do you hear the usual hash?

Yes I have all the freq programed in. I tried to do just the control channel in FM and nothing. I did notice on one of the cahnnels today it sounds like someone is keying up but it is a hissing sound kind of like a data channel it was 859.9375. I tried going to P25Auto and I am getting transmison through on only 1 freq but no control channel today but it isnt trunking.

Are you importing them into programming software? Yes, you have to program it with P-25 auto. You need to put in all of the CC's--RED and BLUE frequencies. Just in case they change the CC during the day. Using the RS 800Mhz antenna will help. If you checked out the frequencies here in the database, you would have seen that they are in the 850Mhz range.

Lowndes County has rebanded. I am still trying to get things back to normal with my Pro-96, but it is still very hit and miss. Before I had all the channels set to MOT But now I hear nothing with that, but hear normal traffic set to FM, but with no talk groups displayed. Is this a general symptom of rebanding?

TIA

The FCC license shows 16 frequencies, but the RR DB only shows 10, maybe the control channel is on one of those other 6 frequencies?

hey thanks for all the help guys
Easiest way to get new frequencies on a Pro96 is by using either the USB or DB9 programming cable with Pro96com. It is a great way to find out things about a trunked system without working hard at it:)
It is how I found TG's for Hall, Forsyth, and other counties in the metro ATL.

Unfortunately I haven't had time to update Pro96Com to include Motorola 3600 systems, so in this case, it won't help much, however Unitrunker will work, but not with the Pro-96/2096 scanners unless you tap the discriminator.

That's it...LOL!

Done, well at least what I think the control channel is... 856.41250

That is the new control channel. They have 3 now and I would put all 3 in so when they switch again your radio will follow along and things will work seamlessly. They are now in the database.
