Here is the LP Repeater Sites map.
The tones only apply to transmitting. For listening there is only 103.5 on the output of all repeaters and I don't think anyone uses it. You can if you want to. You will only notice a change in signal strength if you can hear more than one repeater.
As I said, I think I misunderstood what the tone stated by the unit.
