Today, there are some pretty inexpensive scanners that would let you listen to Little Rock, but they will be moving to the AWIN system very soon. AWIN is a P25 digital trunked system and requires a much more expensive scanner.

As they said...they are not cheap, but make sure it is digital, and can pick up APCO P-25, used it will run about $250.00 on ebay and new around $400-500 elsewhere.

Little Rock is in the process of converting to AWIN, not finalized yet. To monitor the Analog system currently you will need a scanner capable of doing the rebanded setup. To monitor in the coming months, yeah you will need an scanner capable of doing P25. Anything in the PRO-96/2096 generation, up through the BCD396/996XT generation all the way to PSR-500 PSR-800, PRO-106, PRO-18, Home Patrol 1, will work fine, and of course in the January thru March period Whistler will be releasing their new line (they bought GRE, and hired former GRE staff).:) That SC230 can do current rail, air, conventional freqs fine. And yes there is still a lot of stuff in the conventional arena to monitor in AR. Everyone has not gone TRS, TRBO, or NXDN yet.

Well, you have LR Airport and Union Pacific. Might be able to catch some military stuff on Camp Robinson. VHF Ham Radio during bad weather. Depends on what you are interested in!

Is this CONFIRMED or just that they added the designators to the fcc lic? If confirmed please make an official submission so we get this on record.
