Has anyone ever used a scanner to listen to operations here?

I have an SDS 100 with all upgrades purchased and I’m not hearing anything, especially on the Marine channels. Maybe it’s encrypted?

Any information would be cool, thanks!

I'm about 50 plus miles away. I do get the Ishpeming frequency occasionally. DMR 153.545, CC5, and TG 21. I've been up there a few times and never pick up the Ore Dock on DMR. Next time I go, I'm trying the conventional channels 160.23,160.95, and 160.98.

I’m such a novice that I don’t even know how to scan a certain Talk Group. I do have the DMR upgrade, and I do have 153.545 programmed.

I went down to the dock today and scanned and I could not pick up ANY ship to shore comms. I tried all of the LS&I frequencies as well as the Marine Channels 12 and 16. Nothing.

Not sure what to think of it at the moment.
