I'm still new to truncking in general. I'm from Pettis County, MO I'm trying to find TGIDs and the LCN for the Central Communication Service. How do I know if I have a LTR Control channel? can LTR have two Control cannels? In the BCD436HP do I need to have TGIDs to run the LCN finder? I compared the RR data to the FCC Data and found the Freqs don't match the RR DB. RR list 14 freqs for Sedalia site 1 and 5 freqs for Sedalia site 2 but the FCC data only list one site with 10 Freqs under the Central Communication Service but putting my BCT15x on hold on suspected control (461.8375) channel I got TGIDs like 1-13-154. they flash with no audio. however if I plug said freq in as a normal analog freq I can hear what sounds like a key up and release and sometimes there is radio traffic. The key up sound happens no matter what scanner (BC125AT, BCD325P2, BCD436HP or BCT15X) at home or around town. Any insight will help. Thank you in advance.

LTR systems need all of the frequencies programmed in LCN order or the scanner can't track it.

LTR doesn't use control channels. The control data stream is sent is on the voice channels at the same time as the voice transmissions.
On most LTR systems there are 1/2 second key ups on the home channels every 10 seconds. Sometimes it's more or less frequent than 10 seconds. That is how the subscriber radios know that the system is operational. If you have headphones or a big externjal speaker with good bass response and listen to raw baseband audio you can hear the "subaudible" data stream during voice transmissions and keuyps.

You can't always go by the database. It could have bad or missing data from the beginning or the system could have added, removed or changed frequencies.

For that system it looks like potentially none of the LCNs are confirmed.

I don't know if LCN Finder on BCD436HP works for LTR systems or not. I have never tried it.

but you are likely going to have to stick all of the appropriate freqs from the licenses in an LTR system in the BCD436HP (appropriate meaning freqs from the same band) and then run LCN Finder, if in fact LCN Finder works on LTR.

I can confirm it works well for LTR.. (y) Provided the frequencies are correct..

Thank you. That was very informative. I have two freqs in the system list that have a second key up and one is quicker then the other. Still have the BCD436HP doing a LCN finder search. Thank you again I learned a lot just from that.

I don't know how many frequencies are listed by FCC, But if some are unused by the LTR the LCN Finder may not come to completion. If you know 2 are active and it finds those 2 and nothing else after a while; Then you'll need to manually stop the finder; Follow the prompt to save what was found before exiting.

You can then review what was saved. If you know another is active but not found, or you discover another frequency has become active later, you can try again during a period when that frequency might be active.

Looking at that system in the database, I would not be confident that the frequencies shown for each site are correct.

License WNSR916 is listed for for four of the six sites (66, 67, 68, and 69). Site 66, Sedalia 1, also shows WPWS529 in addition to WNSR916. Sites 67 thru 69 only list license WNSR916. Site 6A, Laurie, does not list a license on the site details, but it appears to be using frequencies from WPQX579.

If you don't get accurate results from the LCN finder, look over the licenses and check if you see one or more linked to the wrong site.

I used the FCC data to program into my 436HP as Ive tried the RR Data to no results before. looks like Im going to get the same outcome. Thank you.

Good deal.

If you can figure out the LCNs, as well as anything else that needs correcting, please submit the information to the database.I've had good results with the LCN finder on my 536HP, as well as other models.Hope you have success as well.
