• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Note the ones with the star beside them are curently listed on rr with the corresponding LCN #'s How do I find out where the rest of these go???I am intersted in more the leamington and ruthven ones but If i could get them all it would be good also. I have read that you can only have 1-20 lcns but having this many towers how is that possible, I should also note that all of these are registered to the same company windsor two way. Any ideas, let me know please

What type of scanner are you using?

How are you with a soldering iron and schematics?

kelcom ltr system

For some strange reason I can't hear a thing that goes on in the kelcom system 2 out in leamington, but under spectrum canada there are frequencies that are a ltr system, just like kelcom that are registered to them. I have no idea why I can't hear them, considering this is a countywide system. I did some research on spectrum to see which frequencys are active right now.

These are the rest of them that are active under the same system, but no one has figured out the correct lcn locationsthere are a total of 17 registered frequencies.

420.3125
420.0875
420.5000
420.6000
420.7000
420.8000
420.9000

Those are the rest of the frequencies that I can't figure out where they go. I know that 420.3125 and 420.0875 are registered to windsor towers and the rest are registered to the ruthven towers. I tried the two methods to program a ltr system on my 246t and all I come up with is that the last five have the same lcn locations as the existing ones already, is it possible that leamington has it's own LTR system. I can't see that being right. But maybe it is. Any help would be much appreciated.
