LVFD Fire Training Exercise

Presently the Las Vegas City FD is having a rather interesting fire training exercise being conducted on Zone 2 Channel 9 AKA Tac 209.

LVFD is also using Zone 2 Channel 1, a normal training channel for this exercise also.

In addition to LVFD, NLVFD and CCFD are participating in the exercise.

Another TAC channel has been added to the exercise, Zone 2 Channel 10 AKA Tac 210. Again it is not the normal exercise but very interesting.

The exercise has now gone to a simulated third alarm. Again, it is not the average drill but is most interesting.

 

[TOUGHLIFE]

An additional Tac Channel has been added. Tac 211 AKA Zone 2 Channel 11. Again, worth monitoring.

Henderson FD is also participating in this major training exercise. Tac 209 is most interesting and is now simulating a fire fighter down operation.

The drill is now over. So much for a "major operation".

I was in Vegas and happened to see this drill going on. It happened at least twice while I was there. They were using an under construction high-rise near the Stratosphere. Quite a few units taking part in the drill, including Las Vegas, Clark County, North Las Vegas, and Henderson.

I submitted the talkgroups used during this drill for the database, but it has not been changed.
