No trunked system at this time for Manchester Public Safety.

Manchester has two FD's. One is on 856.7125 conventional and the other is on 154.355 conventional. The PD is on 460.125 and is conventional.

Manchester Town fire Dpt

They are Starting to Roll out on the New freqs SLOWLY. Caught Some action going around Town The other Day As Far I could figure, Only on the Town dispatch Freq. That Freq, if you do not PL it, Also, Has Some towns From TN dispatch working off of It. I work in The Mall Area, So Any Additional Info On The Turnover Would Be MUCHO appreciated. Would Like To AVOID The HASSLE! At This Point, The 8th district is operating on 856.7125/154.22

:) Was Not aware That Wallingford was on this Freq. But Yes, The 8th District Fire dpt, Independent of the Town of Man, It's a Political thing, Does operate on the Freqs that I mentioned Before. I do not PL the Freqs, Have Heard nothing but the 8th District on It.

Manchester Frequencies

As many frequency lists have reported, I have attempted to listen to Manchester Police on 460.125 and 460.400, but without any luck.

I am in Vernon, the next town over, about 2 miles from the town line. FCC database shows an ERP of 200w. This should be plenty.

Are there new frequencies for the PD?

The only thing I hear, on this and intemittently many other frequencies, is some clicks and sound, which I have determined to be coming from the Journal Inquierer's frequency all the way down at 452.975 with the very powerful 300 watt transmitter! Maybe something is wrong with my scanner?

Any suggestions?

On another note, does anyone have frequencies for any of the stores in the Buckland Hills area? I already have the mall. Looking for WalMart, the Cinemas, etc.

:) I Work in Manchester & Live Near Enough to it To Pick up Both 460.125 &460.40. I Am Listening to It now. Both active,460.125 is the Main Freq. The Funny thing though. The New MFD Freq Dispatch, 453.2125 is up & Running, comes in Weak/ Non existant at my home. Sounds Fine when I am In town. Old VHF Freq of 154.355 came in Great out Here. Both 8th district Fire Freqs, 856.7125 & 154.22 Come in Fine at my House. I Have the Bolton Notch Rock in Front of Me. So Go figure :? MPD a Strong Station, Just Maybe you are in a "Dead Spot" Let us Know what you come up with.

Ok. Went down the road to near the town line and was able to hear them but it was a little crackly.

Went up the road.. it seems dead.

Could I-84 be causing this "dead zone"? Or maybe it is a combination of I-84 and hills? I wonder if my town PD (about a mile down the road in the other direction) can hear them.

Oh well. No Manchester PD for me. I even tried different antennas and scanners. My town PD comes in clear.
