manhattan frequencies question

Hi guys, I've just recently started going to Manhattan to explore and I was wondering out of all of the frequencies which ones would be good to listen to? There are so many and I tend to get overwhelmed when I program all of them into my radio, I'm interested in hearing the mta police and port authority bus terminals but when I'm home I can't hear anything. I'm using an icom f60 and a yaesu vx5r to monitor so I can't monitor the trunked frequencies but conventional is fine. Any help would be appreciated.

The MTA Police are real easy, because we never move to the future.
MTAPD N1 - 161.220 (GCT and Metro North lines)
MTAPD E1 - 160.455 (LIRR outside of Manhattan)
MTAPD PN - 160.320 (Penn Station)
**the MTAPD uses 2 person units as a temporary resolution to their radio failures, due to a PESH violation. So the MTA has been working on several ways to resolve the problem, but as it passes the 3 year mark next month, the MTA has done little, very little)
