Okay here's how you do it. Use the number on the back of the radio, instead of the number you see on the radio itself on information. The reason I say this, the radio might not be working. The first three numbers indicate the model number, the fourth symbol indicates a Z which means out of all of the Uniden products it is a.. scanner, then you're going to see a number depending on what unit you're looking at, 8, 9, 0, 1 or 2, this relates to 2018, 2019, 200, 2021 and 2022. The next number will be an eight indicating it was made in Vietnam unless you see a 2 which means you have one of the original beta radios LOL.
The numbers that follow with a series of zeros in front of them is the sequence of production which starts at zero with every new year. My SDS 100 is 2018, number 444 which means I'm pretty lucky that I have not encountered you know what.
