Ok, I was sitting here reading some posts about OHP, OKC, and trunked systems. I remember posting a long time ago about needing a map of the OKC area's and what divisions control what. This is sort of the same thing. I think it'd be awesome if we could get/find a map of all the major areas in Oklahoma and then outline the different troops/divisions so that you can look and see which division/troop covers what area. I did a cheesy OKC map that's somewhere in the archives, I'll see if I can do a better one when i get the chance. The one I’d really like to see is OHP. It'd be nice to have with me when i travel. That way I know whether to monitor the trunked system or the low-band. Anyways... if you have these or want to help make them, post up. I think it'd be an awesome idea. Maybe we could upload them to the RR database or something.

Later!

DBFF, I can't seem to get this to come up. Could you double-check the link, please?

Crayon, i've seen those maps. The problem is that they aren't detailed enough. I'm in the process of doing a very detailed map from Precision Mapping map's. I'm using photoshop to outline the city limits and then highlighting the differn't divisions. Here is a link to the cheesy map i did a while back. I basically took all the little small maps on the okc website and figured out where they connect. lolol. http://www.freedomplease.com/mattrk/pics/okcpolicedivisions.jpg

As for the OHP troops, the link doesn't work for me either. :'(

That's awesome. That will do. I'm working on the same thing for OKC now. I just found a PDF file of the Ward's in OKC. I'm modifying it now in photoshop. I'll post it up when i'm done.

Btw, can someone submit that to the OHP part of the RR DB? Like... Maybe under the OHP logo. That'd be awesome. Btw, Glenpool911, if you wanted to make the map look even more spiffy in the db, you could change the background from white to #F7F7F7. Or, you could do transparent. heh. :)

Maybe i should go to sleep. its 3am. :p

Glenpool911, i like your map the best. However, having the county names on the map is a good idea. Would it be possible to add the county names? Maybe in small font as to not "over power" the Troop names. Just a thought. Post up the final product when you are done. :)

Btw, i'm still working on the okc map. Star Wars III kind of.... got in the way so to speak. (Waiting in like for 6 hours will do that) It should be done tonight. Later!

I think N5MRK is onto somthing, I find it frustrating even on the RRDatabase not to have the counties listed in there appropriat locations.

I suck at geography. (and spelling)

If you was to incorperate your Hi-Po zones with the counties they cover it would be a lot more "user friendly" not to mention "cool".

Hell, you could kick it up a notch and have it bring up a zone or counties when ever the mouse hi-lights what ever its over.

Just some thought Ive wanted to do in my own forum.
