is osp dispatched via computer data or via digital voice on marcs ??? because i really dont hear dispatch sending out calls !!! what does this prove ??

They are mostly using MDTs.

You won't hear too much voice traffic on OSP stuff unless it's general chit-chat or the MDTs are down for whatever reason

MDT IS A LAPTOP RIGHT ?? Then i guess we wont hear calls going out on MARCS then. That sucks!!!
is all digital traffic like that now ?? Even other talk systems

Yes a MDT is the laptop you see in the cruisers.

From listening to posts 22, 39, and 72 the MDT's are always down or are out of coverage. So I hear a lot of voice calls/ traffic stopsm on MARCS.

Is it active during Severe weather with being able to read MDTS ??

I didnt know that i wouldnt hear much traffic on it. If i knew it id prob never gotten the scanner.

What can u hear that is good on MARCS ??

I hear just about anything you would hear from your local PD. Traffic stops, accidents, shootings you name it and its there. Are you scanning in open or closed mode? Could be that you are in closed mode and you are only hearing the TG's that you programmed in. If thats the case then change it over to open mode. I would think that where you are located that you would hear all kinds of stuff.

Well I just programed the control channel in and started scanning without adding talkgroups and stuff. I though that was open mode. I am picking up talkgroups listed but i didnt even program tg

So you have these freqs programmed in 866.0625* 867.5750* 867.8375* 868.6125* ?

That just may be your problem. Program in the alternate control channels too.

They dont have no data sound like the one i have in it does.

Do i program them like CH 00 OSP CH 1 Conv. CH 2 OSP and so forth like in between conv freqs.

Just program in the 4 I gave you. There is no need for any spaces between them.
