My department is fixing to convert over to the MASP. I thought that might be of interest to some people. Basically MASP is a system which is linux based open source software designed by people at USM in Hattiesburg, IBM, and Linux (unknown version) along with this software will provide REAL-TIME sharing of database information between public safety departments all throughout the state. What is interesting about this is that one of the main focuses is to provide mobile units real-time database information via mobile terminal. So it looks like Biloxi is moving toward that.

P.S. I have class on the new software all week next week.
