As of last night the talkgroup as changed. I can only hear dispatch and no other traffic. I believe it has went to partial encryption. Can anyone confirm?

Most field units seem to be encrypted, consoles are in the clear. Time will tell if they strap everything or leave the dispatcher in the clear.

Can anyone confirm that the mecklenburg county fire has gone to partial encryption. I hear the dispatch but not the fire trucks checking en-route.

Are you monitoring all the ops TG's? I'm hearing the usual traffic on city and county ops TG's

Units checking enroute should always do so on the ops channel, some just don't follow protocol and will check enroute on Meck Dispatch and switch to whatever channel they're directed to. To answer your question, county ops channels are not encrypted. There are a few encrypted fire channels on the system but they are reserved for specific departments for internal use. I take it you're seeing this issue on both your scanners and XTS as well?

yes, just dont listen that much to fire channel anymore. Your right. When I was on the departments you always checked in on main channel.
