I have used many different types of search engines to find various federal and civilian services out there and the frequencies they use. But, a lot of times I hit a wall.
For instance; some years agoon my previous scanner I had a frequency for Albuquerque, NM for either the B.I.A or forest service that broadcast weather forcecasts. But, I sold that scanner. My new scanner I have programmed a similiar weather channel for Santa Fe. The frequencies mentioned are not the seven weather channels the regular weather radios pick up, but in other bands.
I have tried to more of these frequencies on different types of search engines with no luck. It would be nice to have a list of search engines posted on Reference on recommended search engines for radio scanner listeners and for help in finding the services and frequencies we want.
Here are a 2 search engines I have had at least some luck in finding frequencies for like aviation, military, ham, ect;
1. ask.com
2. blindsearch.fejus.com
And beyond that, not much help, except for all the regular frequencies.
That's all for now.:(

Dacdac, are you familiar with the RR Database? If not, check it out. It will provide you with local, state, and federal frequencies, likely including the ones that you're looking for. It's considered the go-to place for frequencies anymore.

The RRDB is updated regularly, so you'll probably find it to be more accurate than general search-engine based results, which could produce old and outdated frequencies.

I like the RR database. I use it alot. But, search engines are a good tool as well, especially for finding sites like Radioreference. I found Radioreference thru Ask.com for finding scanner listening sites.

Use Google to search RadioReference.com

Go to the Google Advanced search:

https://www.google.com/advanced_search

Fill in as many or as few fields, minimum is the domain (RadioReference.com) and the string you're looking for (forest service, national air firefighting).

Read your results!
