Mcs 2000 help

Hi,
I could use some help/advice.

I have several MCS2000 Version 3 mobile radios. I have DOS MTSX RSS V6.7 and the proper cables. I am able to read the radio completes 17 of 17 blocks and then gives me an error "a newer version..."

I'm a neophite programming these radios. Can someone tell me if:
A: there is a newer version of the DOS software.
B: If no DOS what version of windows will override that error.

I'm sorry if this is a rehash but I am under the gun to get these radios finished and Motorola offers no help since they are not selling the software anymore.

It seems you are trying to program your MCS2000 mobiles with Jedi portable software[MTSX]. You would need MCS2000 CPS software, but I forget the latest version. It's past midnight, & been a long day. GARY N4KVE

Yep, you need the mobile version.

Since Motorola doesn't sell it anymore, is there a way to get a copy legally?

Unfortunately not. They're really tight about it and once they NLA software, there's no legal way to obtain it.

There is windows software for mcs2000. Latest version is i think 2.02 or 2.03
