OK, Karl....very good. I've pinned down the tone for 151.2275 (Rock Hall tower)...it is 532. I've copied no other tones on this freq - and all activity seems to pertain to Kent,QA & Dorchester Counties. I've yet to stumble upon any activity based in Talbot or Caroline Counties - but will continue listening. Maybe this freq/PL is for the northern-most tower of the Central Shore regional network? We'll see. I'll plug in your other freqs and see what I get.

Addendum, I think I typo'd the input I found. The 153.9725 is a valid mobile on the DNR licenses, however, I believe the one for the Central Eastern Shore net will be 153.9275. I've been traveling alot and been away from my notes. Good find Dave on the 2275, that would match my hunch as being the furthest most north repeater for the central ES net. It is listed on the DNR licenses as well.

For those of you keeping score at home, here is about 24 hours of activity as heard at my location in east central AA County using ARC396 on a BC396 with an Austin Condor antenna.

The activity of 159.3825 has been 6xx units and was very weak. 3xx and 4xx units with Tawes are heard on 155.37. 5xx units with Tawes are on 159.09. I didn't catch the conversation on 151.2050.

I just realized that NRP took over the barracks formerly frequented by the Charles County Sheriffs off of Substation Road in Waldorf. I guess CCSO moved someplace else. So looking at the NRP layout in the database, anyone know which freq is probably going to be the Waldorf tower? Seems like the regional understanding of where NRP broadcasts and such is in a bit of flux. The 155.37 freq perhaps worth listening to?

DNR on Frequencies on the Eastern Shore

I spent the entire Memorial day weekend in Ocean City Md listening to the DNR police. I accidentally discovered them ( about 4 different freqs) operating at several frequencies between 156.1 and 156.3 Mhz. I checked on 3 different radios to be sure that the frequencies were correct and not images. All three radios picked them up loud and clear using short whip antennas. I do not see them listed on any sources at those freqs but they are for real.

Maryland NRP

Maryland NRP has a new narrow band VHF High system as most of you have found out. It uses the State of Maryland's microwave backbone system. There are multiple new sites thruout the state, that differ from some of the previous sites listed. The current information in the database is correct for Maryland DNR (Forestry) but not for Maryland NRP (Police). Some of you have found the correct frequencies and tones, however there are alot more to be found. Check all frequenices from 151-156 & 158-160 and also remember that the FCC Database can be your best friend and give you clues.

Those 156.1 vic freqs you got for DNR could have been conventional vhf marine frequencies.
