medflight sounding distorted

is it normal for medflight to sound distorted dispatch sounds fine but medflight its self there is sort of a low tone hum in the background i was thinking it could just be the helo its self but i dont know the ids are 17510 MedCare Central and 17546 MedCare South

Aircraft often use 400Hz AC power systems. Not sure about helicopters. Often this 400hz noise will get into the radio and cause the low background hum.
Could just be engine noise, too.

400Hz is in the audible range.

Sounds like echo or maybe a digital radio that was set up poorly. If it's digital, it takes some experience to set up the audio side so it sounds good. A lot of times the techs just program the radio and leave it at that. End users get used to the awful sound.

i locked out 53106 wasn't that important anyway
