Meigs County Fire now digital

Meigs County is operating digital on 154.025 Mhz utilizing 16 channels. They are operating off of 2 sites, one in the north section and the other in the south section. Not confirmed, but appears to be Kenwood Nexedge configuration. The Meigs county sheriff remains unchanged.

It is very similar to trunking, except all data transmission is done on the primary frequency as opposed to parsing over separate channels managed by a control channel. There are only a couple of scanners on the market that can receive this mode, one being the Whistler TRX-1.
