Hi Grant,
Thanks for the link... as they say "the Devil is in the fine print".
The Sydney coverage is poor- it looks like it doesn't extend as far as Campbelltown (though the road lines don't seem to line up with reality). How anyone could consider not including such an important urban area within the footprint is hard to comprehend- however if you think how difficult it is to cover this area using analogue Smartzone gives a BIG tip on how difficult designing a large TETRA network would be.
Also the comparison of features with analogue systems is very deceptive. They have compared a TETRA network with SmartNET, not SmartZONE. This is verging on deliberately deceptive advertising.... No seamless roaming or wide area in an analogue system? I wonder what we've been using for the past decade!
