I swear I used to know how to do this with my Pro 2096,but when I want to temporary lockout a talkgroup I don't want to listen to I get the Memory Full error(I had just updated the scanner with new stuff since I hadn't updated it in years-I mainly use my Pro-106). I use the Pro 2096 in the basement when I'm in there doing stuff and my Pro 106 upstairs for every day listening.. Any help in refreshing my memory on this?

The Pro-96/Pro-2096 scanners do not have a "Temporary Lockout" function like that found in the PSR-500 family of GRE scanners.

Your User Manual for the Pro-2096 describes the procedure for locking out frequencies & trunked ID's but never uses the word "temporary" the way it is used with the PSR-500 family.

It sounds like you're scanning in "Open Mode" and are trying to lock out talkgroups that you don't already have programmed. In each PRO-2096 bank, there are 150 available talkgroup ID slots. Pressing L/OUT in Open Mode tries to add the active TGID and lock it out. If the bank already has 150 TGIDs programmed, you'll get "Memory Full".

In the PRO-2096 manual, see the note at the bottom of page 38 regarding "Memory Full", as well as the first paragraph on page 53.
