Menands FD?

Good afternoon, folks - any idea whether Menands Fire is now within a shared TG like Menands PD/if so, which one? Trying to figure out whether to just stay on a TG and ger UIDs for an alert tone. TIA.

Stay on tg or if a Uniden scanner, try id search mode. Maybe new tg's that have not been discovered and or submitted.

Do we know if anything actually changed for Menands Fire? Because IIRC, the fire department was ”always” dispatched by Colonie on Colonie Fire Dispatch, so it may have been unaffected by a move of the PD dispatch over to Albany County.

You may well be right, I just thought I had a TG for them a while back (may have been for tac) and (happily) there hasn’t been much traffic for them such that I have had an aha moment while monitoring.

Colonie might assign them a TAC at time of dispatch.

Good point, Dave - thanks. Saw TGs listed for some municipalities and was wondering if alternatively those might be for fire police or other purposes.

Nothing has changed. They are still dispatched by Colonie and assigned one of the fire ops channels.
