Mendham on Morris TRS?

Guys,

Has anyone else heard 19-series units on the TRS at a previously unreported TGID of 33808?

I heard it today, and did a double-take...

Update: Later last evening, I head 18-series units being dispatched for a call. It appears that both of the Mendhams left 151.370 & moved to the TRS. Can anyone in-county corroborate this (before I make any updates to the database itself)?

I just heard a 19 series unit on the same TG so your not hearing things...

I think he said "19xx to County" so it may be their new TG. I'll keep monitoring...

This could be one of two things:

1. Mendham Boro is dispatched through the County Comm Center, this could be the first of the towns to switch to TRS Dispatch on MGLE-1 (or)

2. Mendham Boro & Twp could have been talking over MIPD-1 or MIPD-2 since both should have the MIRS radios in their cars. I've noticed that the MIPD-1 thru MIPD-4 are not listed in the database yet. Perhaps we've just identified these TG?

Looks like you are correct sir...after monitoring the TG for several hours today, I heard both 18 and 19 series cars calling "County" and vice versa. I guess they have their own individual TG instead of going to the MGLE TG's that everyone originally thought.

Or, that could be their "private" channel for now and when everyone else switches over they go to MGLE...who knows,

But for now, 33808 is the main dispatch for both Mendham Boro and Township. I also listened on VHF and Low band today and didn't hear either one.

Mendham Boro - TRS Dispatch

I just confirmed tonight that this is the TG for Mendham Boro Police. They are the first town that is being dispatched by the Comm Center to have their own TG. Currently only Mendham Boro is dispatched on this TG, but Mendham Twp has plans to migrate from Washington Twp Control over to this as well. No date has been set for Mendham Twp to migrate from VHF-Hi to the County TRS.

I heard 19 units (Mendham Twp) on the frequency as well talking to county. You still hearing them on VHF-hi talking to Washington Twp as well? I'm too far east to pick the repeater up.

I'll give the credit of being correct. I spoke with a Twp Sgt who advised they hadn't switched yet, but who knows...if you're hearing them then I guess you're right. Since I don't have a digital scanner, I can only monitor WTPD Control. Hopefully more towns will start to switch to the TRS. Keep me posted.

So I'm guessing that Mendham Twp. decided not to go forward with their new UHF frequencies and has the County now performing dispatch as opposed to Wash. Twp?

They were supposed to have a new UHF conventonal system in the works (see attched) and have licenses for 4 UHF frequencies:

477.4750
477.8000
478.0750
478.1000

To be quite honest I don't recall hearing them on their VHF frequency (151.370 - along with Chester Boro & Twp.) recently at all but can confirm hearing 19xx units on Talkgroup 33808 as well as 18xx from here in Roxbury in the last couple of days.

I need to retract my last statement..In the last three days of heavy listening to the county system, I haven't heard any 19xx (Mendham Twp) units so it appears the earlier statement about them not having switched is correct.
