I was curious what dispatch frequency the Merrick Fire Department uses since I see that they only have a fireground frequency of 458.7500 licensed to them are they still on the 6th battalion low band frequency of 46.32 or have they switched to UHF 453.875?

Thanks

From what I know, Merrick is one of the very few departments to stick with 46.10. Empire company bought several low band pagers from me and when I asked them about UHF they said they had no plans at the time to move.

Interesting thanks for the info. I am surprised that they have no plans to go UHF. They are dispatched by Firecom right?

No, they’re dispatched by North Bellmore FD “650”

Tone out 46.10
Respond on 46.32
Fire ground 458.75

They will have to go to UHF paging and ops soon, as most low band equipment is no longer being supported. Almost everyone else is on UHF
