MESA COUNTY- A hiker is recovering at the hospital after falling off a 30-foot cliff and breaking his leg Saturday.
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says the man was hiking in the Bangs Canyon Recreation Area near Grand Junction when he fell around 1 p.m.
Rescuers were able to find the man. He was loaded onto a helicopter and flown to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. The hiker, whose name was not immediately released, was listed in stable condition Saturday night.
