MESA COUNTY – A man was shot and another was arrested early Sunday morning in the desert of Mesa County.
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Steven Lee Dodd of Grand Junction was shot in the abdomen around 4 a.m. Sunday near Wilson Drive.
Authorities say Dodd was airlifted to St. Mary's hospital where he's listed in critical condition.
Deputies arrested 52-year-old Charles "Daniel" Ettinger of Palisade. He was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on a charge of first-degree assault.
Authorities did not release any other details about the shooting, pending further investigation.
