Anyone know what is going on with Mesa fire ch 2? I can't seam to get it at all anymore, I haven't changed any programming. I sometimes get a little static. I'm trying to get it in VHF. Thanks!

Surprises me that they are doing that with rural metro still being VHF and they sometimes use them as mutual aid... Also there main dispatch is still coming in on VHF and channel 3 still come in on VHF.

A few southwest units also still sometimes use VHF, you will often hear the dispatcher as them to switch to the 800 MHz radio if they have one.

Another observation: 154.295 use to carry a full simulcast of CH1 Dispatch, but now all I hear are the mobile units being repeated - no dispatchers......

I know, I've been listening to Mesa FD on 154.34 for 23 years, although this will probably be the last. It's just that the simulcasts on 154.295(CH1) and 154.325(CH3) were so much stronger where I live (Queen Creek) than 154.34 and 153.95, and the Topaz system is about useless from here even with a good yagi........

So there was a call on Mesa ch 2 in my area and I was hearing them on VHF, it was very broken, maybe something with p25? Looks like they are still using the VHF in some way with ch 2
