Local NJ airshow next weekend at the Wildwoods. Show flying lineup looks better than the recent A/C airshow.

FAA also has given them a 14k foot ceiling as well so maybe the Jersey Jerks can show off.

Pax River getting a reworked E-6B back as VX-20 SCORE-70 #164408 in old mode s AE041A
out of Tinker eastbound. Maybe has new goodies to test out :)
I was up at Niagara Falls Weds but bummed no P-8's did any overhead tours. LOL
Did you hear the callsign on the radio? That frame has flown often from Tinker over the past month and the transponder callsign field has had the same callsign apart from one occasion. It has used it's static ICAO addresses on most flights but not all)

I've really been looking forward to this show. Some interesting and seldom-seen jets. Speaking of, Airfest 2025 at the Cape May airport this weekend was supposed to be featuring that beautiful Me-262 replica. Unfortunately it was announced last night that due to a mechanical problem it will not be on hand.

Interesting article on Army choppers future. Always will be needed but seems Army paring them down a bit.
Bad news for units like Delaware AANG with old 1980's UH-60's maybe someday.
Why is the Army chopping away at its chopper fleet?

Drones can do the dangerous surveillance work safer but still need choppers to move real folks and gear.
Army says keeping H-60 types thru 2070 so long ways off :)
