Here are a couple of photos of this afternoon's "don't blink or you'll miss it" F/18s flyover as the closing highlight of the Homecoming 250 week in Philadelphia. I managed to get onto the port side stern of the Battleship New Jersey so I was about as close as anyone got to the aircraft. They came from my right over NJ as scheduled precisely at 5pm then headed straight to PHL and were gone. At least the skies evolved and the NJ looked spectacular in the late afternoon light. The USS Billings was moored on the far side of the battleship - I'll be out tomorrow photographing the Navy ships as they head down the Delaware River from Philadelphia.

Maybe guest Oceana unit photo jet? :)
That USS New Jersey photo looks awsome.. What a machine! Wonder how long it would take today to
build another like that... 15-20 years? 😜😜

1950..Getting some weak coms on 341.750 and Boom freq 348.900.
"Blocking 240-270 for A/R" . Sounds like CAYOTE-21.. Has that bomber type audio.
Several TEAM KC-46's headed up into NY State.

GOLD-61 departing KNGU enroute LPLA Lajes.. MAZDA-11 on ZDC 236.825
says GOLD-61 just departed behind us.. Now up with GOLD-61 on A/R Boom 396.200.
GOLD-61 says we are on ZDC Snow Hill 132.550. MAZDA-11 talking about using the hose.
So far only 1 tail heard MAZDA-11 and only took 2.1 on the topoff.
Nice having video confirmation of MAZDA-11 F/18F from early this morning to Lajes :)
VFA-11 Red Rippers from Oceana.. Must have wanted this one overseas bad.
No wonder he was using the hose..LOL Fleet replacement for CAW-1 on USS Harry Truman in Middle East?
