1020- CAP tanker working Huntress (260.9) reporting that they are "broken" and asks Huntress is there is another tanker that can take their place. Nobles advise Huntress that they have enough fuel to make Toledo and that tanker can RTB if need be.

NASA806 U2 Active. Probably one of the furthest hits I have had, but helps with them at FL600
Yeah the altitude really helps. It was tracking northeast of me (where all the trees and buildings are on the horizon) so getting 245 nm out of it was great that direction. On good days I can "see" aircraft over east central Ohio - which is in the 270 -300 nm range. It helps the horizon that way is water and more water.

1245 and that U2 is tantalizingly close. If this region wasn't under thick cloud cover I'd invest an hour or so driving west to try to snag a shot. Hopefully an opportunity will present itself down the road... 
Having the same problem, it'd be nice if a cold front came through and got rid of these clouds that have been loitering for weeks and weeks now
We're gong to see a pile of snow this week from a large system moving north. I suspect these guys will be up here for that.
Has a 757 ever landed at GED?

1420- Venus 01 (VC-25 # 82-8000) working pattern at ADW. Seems a fair amount of non-POTUS work for this old airframe recently. Getting worn out & needing more maintenance or new crew and need more evaluation?

Technically a 757 can land on a runway if a 737 can. Some of the newer 737 aircraft being converted for VIP there take more runway than a 757

Around here Scan acft mostly use 123.225, but have also used 123.4 in the past.

They are just making sure you are paying attention to them with the crazy altitudes. The day the NASA ER2 reports them at his altitude - then we know we have a problem.
