Not trying to be a wiseass, but the post is a bit vague. Can you let us know what issues you’re having, so we can help you out? I’m assuming you’re talking about the 17/MTx Frequency. They are loud and clear on my portable. As stated above, it may have something to do with the major power outage which is unbelievably still going on.

I think we can safely assume that the issue is with the feed provider, not the NYPD's infrastructure. So no, I doubt the feed provider has a backup generator.
