I am looking for a Mike Switch for the ICOM 706 MK2G

I have an Heil Traveler (Dual Earcuffed) Headset with the appropriate adapter for the 706 and I have both adapters for the radio and the computer.

What I would like to do is to have a switch so that I can have them both hooked up and not need physical switch the two when I want to use the headset for the computer and not the radio and vice versa.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this task. Please and of course with my thanks,

Try sending an email to Heil for a catalog? At one time they actually marketed a microphone switch but I never owned one so I don't know the model number. ;)

I don't know exactly what you want to do, the connectiors necessary, but try looking at MFJ for such a switch. There are other companies that will have something like that, no idea about the proper connectors though. Or, if you're really desperate just make one...

I need or would like a mike switch box.

Ok here's what I have

1 Heil Head set with Mike
1 Cable with Plug for the 706 MK 2 G
1 Cable with headphones and mike for the computer

Now I would like to have them plugged into the box so that I can switch between them without having to disconnect one to use the other.

Does such a critter exist ? Where can get it at ?

Thanks and have very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

You asked this question about two months ago. I merged your latest post with the previous thread. Please do not start a new thread asking the same question you asked previously.

As LtDoc said in reply to your previous question, you could build what you want. It'd be fairly simple to wire the necessary inputs and outputs.
