364.200 STARGATE calling what he made to sound like BLUEASS but must be BLUEICE. It definitely wasn't BLUEGRASS. Looking for a signal check on "AICC".
(1136EDT)

Earlier had 341.750 active with AAR and also 268.100.

Searching/scanning as we speak. Are there any other milcom monitors in the metro area? Or any mailing lists for Kentucky milair?

Probably calling the BLUE ASH controllers NE of Cincinnati.

Callsign BLUEASH. 123 ACS/OH ANG GCI Controller.

Thanks David... One to add to the list.

Are there any other commonly used air defence freqs or is it a case of searching? In Europe we had TADs that were used NATO wide including by USAF.

Most of the air defense stuff around here such as AWACS and JSTARS are using mil UHF but in the green/encrypted modes of may use the Have-Quick freq hopping. You may hear an occasional transmission in the clear, but not a whole lot, usually on AICC 364.200. A good reference I use is Milcom Monitoring Post . Most of the stuff down my way is a/a, ATC, Command Post, METRO frequencies.

I'll keep an ear out for the ADR stuff. It's what I love listening to. In Europe/UK the only time crypto or HQ was used was on big exercises. Used to hear lots of GCI/AWACS ops in the clear.

Hearing some HQII right now. I don't have enough freqs to follow it all :( Searching but the chances of catching them are slim.

1440EDT "DERBY 22" working Derby Ops on 268.1 changes c/s to DERBY 20 and informs engine start.

Originally she asked ops to come up in green but she changed her mind.
