Miltary Trunked

Does anyone know where i could look up to find out what the base that i live close too is using i know its a Trunked system but does where can i get the freqs its Ft Chaffee btw i that helps ne

I lived in Fort Smith for a year, and Fort Chaffee has never had a trunked system. Although I did plug the yahoo search engine for Fort Smith scanner frequencies and came up with this...

Fort Chaffee PD is very active...at least it was when I lived there. Never really monitored the air frequencies. There is a link on that page for Military Air Freqs...

As for the Trunked systems at Fort Chaffee there seems to be some things going on in the 400 meg band. If someone is ever in the area with trunker maybe we could figure this one out.
Here are the control channels I have monitored.
407.3875
408.7625
406.7875
They seem to be motorola control channels. I have put them in the scanner but have never had any luck.

I have however scanned manually and picked up the following freqs and they are apco-25. Seems to be range control guys there at chaffee. It is a trunked system, I just have not figured out the scheme. While scanning these channels manually, you will hear the them key up periodically like an ltr system.

Yea Mark, I used your page a lot when I lived in FS. Very helpful! I did a search and came up with that...trying to look for yours.

That's awesome that Chaffee is now trunked! I'll have to swing back that way soon and see what I can do with Trunker!

New control channel. 406.9875

408.7635 is no longer a control channel.

Manually scanning the 406-410 mhz, I again picked up traffic in P-25 mode. Station calling range control for radio check. Range control came back Lima Charlie. Also heard station calling CQ.
