So far I have had two USB cables that have stopped connecting to the scanner when attached to the computer. The cables connected fine for programming for a while, then quit working. When I use a new cable, it works for a while, then also stops connecting.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I use @ProScan for programming my 200 so my original cable does not get much use. Are you using the front port with the cable?

Yes. The front lower right mini port. I am using ARC 536 Pro software.

Your thread title says "MINI" USB cable.....

You are using a "MICRO" USB cable in the front port?

Maybe some dirt got into the socket? Maybe give it a little squirt of "plastic safe" electrical contact cleaner. Make sure it's not bent or damaged in any way.

Also leave mine plugged in all the time - use a switched usb port to the computer

I also leave my programming cables plugged in and use the Butel ARC software. No problems have arisen with either the OEM or the 90 degree angled replacement cables I use. Could you be having a problem with your computers Com ports being lost on occasion?
