Hi spooks, witches and goblins,
If you were listening to the military frequencies last night it was only me on my jet powered broom, a funny looking UFO waving at the pilots. I had my scanner with me but all I heard was the usual spook patrol stuff even if altitude gave me a certain wide area advantage.
Seriously, there was a bit of tropo running, that was the advantage if you can call it that. The only things anyone could call serious stuff were the usual costume bandits and one attempted kidnapping in what was obviously a high crime city in Connecticut to begin with. There was one of those "all's well that ends well" bits though, they finally found Little Red Riding Hood and her cat. I never knew she had a cat but then anything can happen with kids in costume.
Never mind Hell Night, like the man said there's nothing left to burn in Detroit. When the Ford plant in Dearborn closes they'll bulldoze the whole area and expand Belle Isle Park to give the people of Windsor a nicer view across the river. They may as well keep Dearborn Village, Menlo Park NJ doesn't want Edison's laboratory back since they built that stupid light bulb monument on the site.
Yes, Halloween began in England (I still don't understand what Guy Fawkes had to do with it) and naturally came to New England. Naturally the Puritans objected and they only managed to ruin it in a few villages in MA but the bonfires were nice, they lit the way to Virginia Colony where it flourished.
If you hear a low flying jet be sure to duck and cover, I carry a whole crate of rotten eggs on my midnight flight. Now be good kiddies, I'm good friends with Santa Claus, he has a few tricks up his sleeve too and reindeer don't make nearly as much noise as a modified P&W JT-15.
