I don't think the TRX filters out anything on NXDN trunking. It just hears whatever is on the channel.

I have not been able to get a Corning or Horseheads NL lately due to no really good ducting and too much co-channel stuff. So, we really need somebody in the area with DSD+ to get good info in the RRDB. I am also seeing several new TG registrations on Steuben County site CCs but I can't receive the voice channels from my location

If programmed as Type-C, as I now do, it should. When entered as Type-D, which how I got the RAN 44. Or as Conventional with open squelch, RAN doesn't matter as much. So what I posted should be the correct RAN. But you are correct about the ducting. I have been monitoring a STARNet site(SULL01} that is 46 mi. SOUTH of me, and I live in a valley. I re-programmed it as Type-C RAN 44 last week. The log excerpts were from this afternoon, so the RAN 44 should be correct.

So, we really need somebody in the area with DSD+ to get good info in the RRDB.

Maybe someone will come along.

Related to the recent discussion posted by @tayrdige on the Canton thread about St Lawrence Public Transit operating NXDN conventional on Mobiletech channels in the area we now have good info on the St Lawrence County sites. Coincident with our discussion, Transit and the former conventional frequencies and sites yesterday were cut over to the trunked NXDN network. Observations by @tayridge indicate that Transit is now TG90 and Canton and Ogdensburg CC frequencies are now active.

I think this will complete the list of active sites in the "North Country" for now. The only LTR-NET site I am aware of in the area not yet heard on the NXDN network is Site 7 at Indian River School in Jefferson County.

I am attempting to ID the Steuben County area school bus TGs when they turn up on the S Bristol site. I have some circumstantial evidence that TG116 is Genesee Valley CSD but I am listening for more info to confirm before I submit. Addison, Arkport and Canisteo-Greenwood CSDs were LTR-NET users that I suspect are now on NXDN but I can't pin down any of the unknown TGs in the area to a specific CSD yet.

Observations by @tayridge indicate that Transit is now TG90 and Canton and Ogdensburg CC frequencies are now active.

CORRECTION: St Lawrence Public Transit is TG99 per @tayridge.

Thanks to a submission from @tayridge we now have confirmed Site 7 at Indian River School, Philadelphia, NY is active. Also the 154.505 former St Lawrence Bus conventional channel at Site 9, Rutland, is now a trunked voice channel.

I believe all active Jefferson-St Lawrence County area sites are now accounted for on the NXDN system but additional voice channel listings would still be useful.

I observed a new TG119, South Lewis CSD, active so there are possibly some sites in their area in Lewis County not yet in the RRDB. We have Boonville listed and I see licenses for new sites at Turin (Gomer Hill) and Grieg (Brantingham Rd.)

Talk Group 102 is now roaming on the Ilion system. It appears to be a school system as the radio IDs are Dispatch, Main Office, and two digit numbers (bus numbers?). I have a receiver dedicated to recording this new TG. No changes to the neighbor list.

Good Evening;- I have been monitoring some new things that have popped up on our CDN towers in Brockville so have been off Mobiltech but will pop back over their tomorrow, Yes I know Tg 102 is a school it has been around for a while but had now been able find out the where, syill hope that some-one will spill the beans in a conversation. Also will be on the look-out for TG 119 and any others. Thanks again for the info and will be intouch with findings.

Good catch! It does look like Lewis County is getting active. Please let me know if any future activity on TG119 is heard. What I observed was techs testing so I really don't know what the actual status of the TG is.

TG119 very busy this morning. It sounds like first day with new radios. Looks like we have some detective work to do since I hear some things that may not fit for South Lewis.

I confirmed that TG 119 is not South Lewis now that it is active with the actual user. It is not even in Lewis County!

Got a positive ID today that is is Canisteo-Greenwood CSD in Steuben County. Locations mentioned are in Steuben County and employee names mentioned all fit for Canisteo-Greenwood. RRDB correction submitted. South Lewis may show up soon on a different TG.

i am 99% sure that South Lewis is using the new county P25 network. they shouldent be using mobiltech anymore. I believe all school districts in the county went to the Lewis County P25 system. this was done to facilitate full interoperability in case of a a school emergency

Interesting! Harrisville just showed up as new user on the NXDN system. But, I do see Lowville reported to be on the P25 system.

Have you heard any other school districts on P25? It seems like P25 is an expensive alternative for a school district unless they are eligible for grants they would not get for NXDN.

In-building coverage testing going on now on TG124. I suspect Canisteo-Greenwood for in-school admin use separate from the buses. They are a new user and there is a new on-site repeater at the High School. I am not going to submit until I hear regular use of the TG after what happened with the testing I heard on 119 at South Lewis and then it goes into service at Canisteo-Greenwood instead. I am going to review names and other info heard on 124 to see if it fits C-G.

Upon further review - It is apparently not Canisteo-Greenwood since this testing involved 1 or 2 primary schools, a middle school and a high school. C-G is only elementary and high. So, more detective work involved with details of what I heard and there is still the question if this will be the actual TG user.

I just confirmed from review of recordings that it is Indian River CSD in Jefferson County. They have licenses for a new UHF mutli-site campus system for in-building admin so this seems to be the UHF patched to a VHF TG. Will this be the VHF bus TG ??? The mystery continues!

Announcement at the end of the Indian River testing that the test radios would be reprogrammed and returned to schools next week. So maybe we can expect permanent configuration to be on the air in about a week or so.

I heard TG104 active few a few transmissions this morning and it was evident it was trucks doing highway plowing. I have been suspecting it is a town highway department. I had submitted it as "construction" since when heard in the summer they were apparently hauling gravel or paving material to a job site. I had heard "Route 69 and Old State Rd" at that time. NY69 would be Camden but they are not heard there and are heard on Rutland tower. Jefferson County Rt 69 runs from E Church St Adams to NY12 in the Town of Rutland. It passes through the Towns of Adams, Rodman and Rutland so those highway departments are possible suspects. We need more observations from anyone in the Watertown area.

TG56 is also a new one. I heard them on the Pulaski site chatting away about cleaning buses. Their RID also says they are custodial. Now I need to pin them to a school district.
