MONITORING "OUTSIDE AGENCIES"

Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone out there has had any luck monitoring any of the "Outside Agencies" that are on the DE State System. I wasn't sure if a lot of the Federal Agencies whose talk group ID's are listed are encrypted of if they just don't broadcast enough to make it worth programming into the scanner.

I haven't heard anything excpet for nat guard everyonce in a great while.

Hello,
These TG's are very quiet but I have heard the Marshall and DEA groups on occasion. Rarely are they in the clear. I believe it was a nice gesture on the states part to give them (the fed's) TG's but believe most ops are carried on using agency radios or nextel service.

You'll hear more on the fed's VHF and UHF freqs on any given day.

I have a bank full of these TG's and other little used ones which I sometimes run but at this point it's a wasted bank in the radio AFAIC.
