I vaguely recall it being said that the Sheriff would only allow jurisdictions on the TRS if they did the dispatching. Is Holmdel still dispatching themselves?

As of now, it's a hybrid, similar to Marlboro, where MC is dispatching just Fire and both towns PDs are still dispatching their own PD/EMS.

Aberdeen Twp. is moving from local dispatch to Monmouth County, per press release today. I understand transition (may) happen tomorrow, though I haven't heard any FD/EMS tone testing yet.
County did a few brief Dist 63 tests about 2 weeks ago on North Page.

I heard they were only going to be on the TRS paging channel. Guess they all have Unication pagers? Did some TRS page testing yesterday.
The talkgroup that carries the paging isn't there for alerting pagers. Its there as a convenience so subscriber radios can hear pages going out. The VHF paging is going to remain the primary means of paging in the county, per the Sheriff at a meeting I attended last year. Unless plans have changed?

I'm going to monitor both North Page and the TRS Paging TG today to see if I hear D63 on one or both.1756212310120.png

County just did a Dist 63 pager test. Then followed by Aberdeen hitting Dist 63 on their local telling everyone to switch their pagers over to North Page. So I assume the change just took place at 1000 hrs.

Last night, Aberdeen had a grass fire on Cliffwood Beach. All communications were on VHF North Response. I'm guessing the FD don't have 700 mhz radios at this time.

63-1 had a call this morning and 63-1-66 was on TRS Fire North. Maybe it's a hybrid system until they get more trunk radios? Keep listening!
I heard that this morning. I'm thinking maybe just the chief has a 700. I again heard the trucks on VHF.

It appears that the Monmouth County P25 system is down at the moment. The Control Channels are changing at a rapid rate, and not able to lock onto a data channel, even with “Ignore Site NAC” enabled. This is observed on an SDS100, and Unitrunker 2.0. According to the Unitrunker data, the system went down around 12:11 pm EDT.
