Are you talking about Salinas City there? I don't see a Green under Monterey County.

I updated Carmel & added Del Rey Oaks today. Might have time to do a bit more tonight. Likely Gonzales and Greenfield. Then this week I'd like to finish Soledad, Salinas, Marina, Sand City, Monterey, Pacific Grove and Marina.

Anything else I'm missing?

ScannerDude....

Do you know if Marina FD is being dispatched by Red or 158.835?

I remember you were saying that they were going to be starting to be dispatched by Red awhile back.

I can't find a FCC license for this. When was the last time you heard traffic on it?

be sure to get Salinas PD's VHF link listed also...
152.135 103.5 PL

Also, I noticed that info for Pacific Grove's and Seaside's PD wasn't listed yet...
Pacific Grove PD - 155.5350 - 146.2 PL
Seaside PD - 155.6850 - 146.2 PL

Ok, spent some time over the last few days doing more updates.

I've done all of the cities. I've done County Sheriff/Fire/EMS. Would like to do other county agencies at some point (OES? Public Works? Parks?).

Haven't touched the fed/military stuff yet.

I searched low and high for that VHF link to Salinas PD, and can't find a license anywhere. Any chance it's an image frequency? Are you near a transmitter site? The PL is different enough, though, to make an image unlikely. I'm really puzzled by that one.

I'll update the fire channel names (Command vs. colors) once we've deciphered the whole new scheme. Is it just Salinas Fire that's calling the channels that, or are all the county departments doing it?

Take a look at let me know what errors I've made.

Salinas PD did get a grant for communications equipment to interop with rest of the county on VHF ,then that VHF freq pop up with Salinas PD primary last year. So my guess that's the first step for that.

The County does all naming of the channel's for city and county

So Far I have is
Red is now CMD 6
Green Salinas is now CMD 7
Gold is now CMD 4
Seaside fire is dispatch on blue with Monterey fire I don't know the new CMD number yet.

Also Soledad,King City,Greenfield,Gonzales all use CLEMAR 154.9200 Tac

And for Soledad PD they use 155.4750 NLEMARS and also Use 151.8650 pl 146.2 use to be city taxi channel now use for a city tac

County OES has 453.4000UHF and VHF153.7550, but never use them? I hear them a lot on the fire channels.

Monterey County Animal Control also use as page out channel for the county 158.7450 DCS131

Monterey County Public Works 150.9950 pl173.8

County parks Toro park and Laguna Seca 151.1600 pl146.2

County Parks lake San Antonio 154.1000 pl146.2

I'm pretty sure that fed and military is up to date.

When I was on 101 SB JSO of King City a while back I picked up P25 in the clear traffic on 141.225.

Oh, and correction for the Salinas PD VHF Link (152.135) before you guys add it into the DB - it's not 103.5 PL it's actually 107.2 PL fyi.

Clarification . . .

I am getting to do a final programming for my TK-790 for a trip to Monterey Bay Academy (Watsonville) this weekend, and need to clarify the following:

Monterey City and Salinas both have (in the Database) the same input freq. of 154.9950, and same CTCSS 146.2 - however they have different outputs. Is this correct? I can see this as creating all kinds of headaches for - well - everybody.

Thanks . . .

The input to Monterey FD (as listed at RR here):
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=209

may be wrong; I have logged them like this:
153.890 146.2 Monterey FD, input is 154.43

Thanks Mick and ScannerDude - that makes better sense. Two agencies with the same input that close will have all kinds of problems.

That does, however, raise another question. Does Seaside get dispatched by Monterey City, or do they just share frequencies? In the database, they are the same for both FD's, input/output and PL.

Sorry to be a pain, just trying to get it right in my program.

Thanks again . . .

Did I just miss that, or did you edit the post. I am feeling a little idiotic right now. ;-)

Join the club...

So Monterey City dispatches Monterey City, Seaside AND Sand City, all on the same channel, right?

I'm trying to keep the DB updated. I fixed the input freq, thanks guys.
