Did I just miss that, or did you edit the post. I am feeling a little idiotic right now. ;-)

Yeah I did edit my post with that link your not idiotic :)

As for Seaside they do share the same frequency and the county does all dispatch for county and city departments.

I see your going to Watsonville they are on Santa Cruz County Red 154.32500
153.770 pl162.2 PL. I'm guessing that pl tone is for the input I never get a pl tone on the output

So Monterey City dispatches Monterey City, Seaside AND Sand City, all on the same channel, right?

I'm trying to keep the DB updated. I fixed the input freq, thanks guys.

Monterey city does the coverage for Sand city and dispatch by the county FIRECOMM

Thanks for that info - I assumed (yea - I know) that Watsonville was in Monterey Co. I never even checked a map.

I found another thing to add to the DB...

463.7375 (input +5 MHz) 156.7 PL --- Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital (SVMH) Security/Telecommunications

And I do remember seeing a Public Works agency's radio plan (I think it was Watsonville or Capitola)... all of the [Santa Cruz] County Fire freqs had a CSQ RX freq...

Back from Monterey . . .

I justed wanted to pass along a big thank you to Kirk, ScannerDude, and the rest who contributed to this thread. It was fairly interesting listening to the various Fire Dept. agencies in the area.

Item of note: Santa Cruz Co. is carrier squelch on their output. I, for some reason, included a PL with their receive frequency, and discovered that I had to have the radio in monitor in order to listen. Lesson learned.

Question: Does every agency in Monterey, regardless of jurisdiction and frequency, get dispatched by "Fire Comm"? I "think" that Fire Comm is out of the Monterey Co. 911 Center, but I heard Monterey Co., Monterey City, and Salinas all get dispatched by Fire Comm, or units from those area call Fire Comm. Kind of confusing.

I also listened in on Watsonville PD, which was surprisingly busy for such a small town. Radio traffic was fairly constant while I was driving around over the course of the weekend.

Thanks again . . .

Yeah everyone is dispatch by Monterey Co. 911 Center fire "FIRE COMM" and law "CENTER". Salinas PD wants to leave the center and be on their own from what I heard.Oh Yeah forgot some fire departments are on contracts with CAL FIRE BEU for dispatch. Don't know if you had a UHF radio, but Salinas was rocking with drive by shootings all weekend long.

Here is a little video of a intervew with one the dispatchers http://s8.video.blip.tv/1170000202815/SilviaTurchin-911MontereyCounty972.mov
Same goes for Santa Cruz Co Net Comm http://www.sccecc.org/
The Santa Cruz Consolidated Emergency Communications Center (SCCECC) is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) providing public safety and 911 dispatch services for the County of Santa Cruz, and the cities of Santa Cruz, Watsonville, and Capitola. SCCECC also provides services to ten (10) fire districts, American Medical Response West (the local paramedic and ambulance transport provider), and County Animal Control Services.

For the Salinas PD Detectives channel, you could add "sometimes encrypted" next to the tag. I heard them yesterday using the channel. Some of the units were running DES encryption.

I'm super busy at work these days, and another admin must have grabbed an incorrect database submission and updated the db. I changed Dispatch back to 114.8. Does everything else look ok?

Thanks Scankid I was wondering what tacs 1 and 2 were.

Whats up with 153.89 SCDN and blue on the same freq? diff pl?

In the FCC data base looks like most of the freq's were paging freqs

Maybe that's why SPD got that 152 freq with the same pl 107.2 as well.

Most paging moved to 900, which freed up a lot of 152/157 frequency pairs now for fire.

I just grabbed one for my department (in another county) down in 152mhz, with a Railroad 160 mhz input.

:D
