Fellow scanners. I live in the Northeastern corner of Montgomery county so maybe the problem is that the frequencies that I have questions about are just to far away for me to pick up here in Amsterdam.

Question #1. I see that the frequency 46.100 is licensed to the Fort Plain Fire Department, has anyone close enough to Fort Plain ever heard the Fort Plain Fire Department or any other Western Montgomery County Fire Department using 46.100

Question #2. I have seen in the old fordyce listings that the frequency of 46.200 was used by the St Johnsville Fire Department. Has anyone close enough to St Johnsville ever heard the St Johnsville Fire Department using the frequency of 46.200

Like I said before I believe that I'm just to far away from Ft Plain and St Johnsville to hear either 46.100 or 46.200 from my location, I was just wondering if anyone closer to the locations in question have ever heard any Montgomery County Fire Communications on 46.100 or 46.200

Thank you for any input.

I too live in amsterdam. montgomery county. 46.10 and 46.20 are old frequencies that are rarely used. usually only in emergency situations ie. ground to ground. 46.12 is used for dispatching montgomery county fire, for all departments, except for city of amsterdam. which is 453.3875

Thank you for your response. It is good to hear from a fellow Amsterdam scanner buddy.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR PM's WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE.

Thanks again
