That is untrue. The original database for the phase 2 system posted was generated from the programming of my radio. Not only was it verified by the CPS, it was verified by watching it affiliate on unitrunker as i changed talkgroups and the radio affiliated.
A phase 2 capable scanner.

not a problem just looking for the right scanning choice
System will be simulcast so your best bet would be a Uniden SDS100 (handheld) or 200 (base)
Would the bcd436hp work well for that system

To my knowledge the only scanners out there that receive simulcast systems with any kind of decency is the SDS series. I would strongly suggest a Unication G4 or G5 pager, however, as they perform just about as good as an actual subscriber radio
Raspberry Pi 3b Plus with OP25 , with a rs-232 dongle works fantastic. The price point makes it even better. Downside is its kinda set it and forget it.
Im running 4 currently . chester, berks, Star net, Montco P2 ...... All running with a 3'' stubby 800 antenna mounted directly to the dongle..

As of right now , it’s just separate pi’s like this.
After the Hollidays, I plan to move them all into one single
Case , run an outboard mixer with one amplifier speaker for the audio .

So this is Montgomery County,PA not Montgomery County, MD then
I Can monitor the West zone. There is a 800 foot mountain directly behind me that blocks 99% of everything from the east. But it could be configured to monitor any phase two system , DMR and even phase 1.
I have not dabbled in the other options. It’s basically a set and forget . It’s a MOFO to get configured at first as you are dealing with running Linux/ Lunix or whatever commands and scripts.
Once the system goes online fully, I’ll have to go in and black list all the encrypted BS.
other than the hours it took to configure, trial and error etc, out the door , it’s like 175 bucks between the Pi, case, dongle, antenna and sma adapters. It’s decoding ability is about 99% vs my whisler phase 2 scanner that sucks majorly
