Today I heard Montville FAS get dispatched over 478.875, but in analog using DCS 265. The channel is listed as PD channel 2 in APCO-25. Anyone know if this is mixed-mode or did the PD give the frequency to the ambulance? I heard other comms on it as well with the ambulance, medics (I believe from Chilton Memorial) and it was definately through a repeater.

I also heard the initial dispatch simulcasted on the fire channel 453.5375, but no comms, only comms on 478.875.

Now I just heard the FD get dispatched over 478.875, but no comms. 453.5375 is very weak from my QTH so I couldn't tell if it was simulcasted. I'm still hearing EMS comms on 478.875 from my QTH.

Can anyone confirm the new setup ? Sounds to me like they are dispatching both over both frequencies, but comms for EMS on one freq and comms for FD on the other.

Also, does anyone know the frequency for the medics ?

As always, corrections appreciated.

e911,

If it is Chilton's paramedics, as you believe, then my notes show them as being dispatched by MICCom on 155.175 (100.0). Their unit numbers are 901 (ALS), 902 (ALS), and 931 (BLS).
