The license for 476.550 is also a YW trunked license with only P25 FDMA emissions authorized, so all bets are off.

Almost DFQ, just a hint of some intermittent scratch to it, but it's been heard by my brother in law in Boonton Township. Disclaimer that they are at 800ft AMSL up on top of Sheep Hill.

Comparing RF signal. .2875 to .550 here well to the East Northeast.

.2875 about + 3db over .550, which fades in and out of the noise floor.

Be nice if .550 was colocated at Bernards site or Long Hill site.

.550 is only for testing. It may or may not be live at times. Sometimes you may hear pre-recorded messages and not live calls. Eventually Locution will move to .2875

Sounds like paging is 100% locution now from what I've been hearing.

Yes, K2NEC, that's correct. Also, nothing coming over 476.55, which was the locution frequency at one time.

Looks like they went live on UHF the other day. What a nightmare "Hazmat call" "Fall Call" Psych" call but no better details. That is just awful.

Didn't see anybody note it, but its now on the 151.055 frequency as well, heard it a night or two ago but thought it might be a one off, which apparently its not? Do we know the motivation behind this embarrassment? Cost savings? WE can only assume other dispatch centers will adopt this shall we say, march toward dehumanization of communications?

Save cost? More efficient? Whatever it is, it's the future so we should all complain and get it over with now because it's not going anywhere IMHO.

Dehumanization of communications...wow first time I've heard that complaint over locution. This has all been around for many years...besides Locution and Purvis, my old FD has been getting calls via text for over a decade with a rip and run sheet printed at the station and PD started getting dispatches over MDT around the same time as soon as call was assigned in CAD. Do I really need to waste airtime having a dispatcher read the same thing I'm reading ? Its like when a dispatcher used to repeat the dispatch...everyone has stored voice pagers now since what model of the Minitor ? Is Lindsey going to have to start a "Automated Dispatch Rant" below the encryption rant ?
