• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

    Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity.     To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

    The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

    This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

i am having difficulty with my ex600 it only shows the id of some radios even when i hear a chirp it wont display the id and i know it has to be another motorola. the other radio i am using for the test is a ex500 the only thing i can think of is that i programmed the radios wrong but i tried changing all the settings around to see if it will fix the problem but nothing seems to work

there is another problem when i want to send out an alert to one radio my radio does not let me use the number keypad to put in the id number if anyone knows how to fix that problem it would be great

(btw this problem that i am having is using the mdc signaling feature)

are both radios using the same ID? I knw this because I have tried this before and if both radios use the same ID... when u transmit or de-transmit, no id's will show up on either radio. as for the latter part of your post... someone with a moto college degree will help you on that one haha

Yiu are correct i am using the same id on yhe radios thank you very much oh and i somehow maneged to get the number keys working i dont know what i did but it works thank you very much :)
