• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Hello All,
Maybe I'm overlooking it or just can't find it. Does anyone know of a site that shows what radio took what software? I'm NOT looking for software, just what versions was used for all the types of radios. Let's say one had a Micor, it would take software XXX thru XXX or what ever. Or, like the newer CPS does, version XXX will program these radio's or just this radio, etc, etc.
Thanks for any help or a link to such a site that someone may have compiled.

The Motorola software listing on batlabs.com is neither all-inclusive nor up to date, and doesn't include any GUI/CPS program listings, or anything involving P25 for that matter. Try a Google search and you'll probably come up with something much more current.

add to that a Micor is not nor never will be programmable, it is a crystal controlled unit that uses 1 channel element per TX and 1 per RX freq(some UHF models used only 1 pack for both but still per channel).

Find someone that likes you with MOL access and they can at least tell you what the current versions are.

the radios have been replaced with the RDX series. The current version of the RDX software is v2.02. I dont know if it programms the AXV radio or not (probably not).

The RDX software is free from Moto and so was the AXV software. I see no problem with posting the link to the Motorola site (admins can remove it if they dissagree my apoligies if not allowed)

Motorola | RDX On-Site Two-Way Business Radios | Microsite

if this dosnt work we will try again.

Unfortunatly I cant edit the last post anymore.

I did a bit or R&D and found out that the Motorola Alpha series CPS RVN4196 is what you need to program the radios.
